China Toy Companies Expands, Guangdong Toy Exports be the First
In recent years, the vast consumer market for toys has also attracted more toy companies to enter the Chinese market. Educational toys have become the next market segment for many toy companies to compete. In 2020, China’s educational toys reached 150 billion yuan, and 4 out of every 10 toys were educational toys.
Sky-eye data shows that China currently has more than 4.13 million business scope includes “toys”, and the status of active, surviving, moving in, moving out of the toy-related enterprises. From the geographical distribution, Guangdong toy-related enterprises are more than 490,000. It accounts for a large share of Chinese toy companies. The next in line are Zhejiang, Shaanxi, Henan and other provinces and regions.
According to “Chinese and foreign toy manufacturing” reported, China has long been the world’s largest toy manufacturing and exporting countries, known as the “world’s toy factory”, more than 70% of the products sold on the world toy market made in China.
In addition, there is a saying in the toy industry : “the world’s toys look at China, China’s toys look at the Chenghai” . Sky-eye data shows that there are nearly 23,000 toy-related enterprises in Chenghai District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, of which the manufacturing industry accounts for 60%.
China Toy Companies Increased for Two Consecutive Years
It is worth mentioning that the data from the sky-eye survey shows that Chinese toy companies have increased by more than 1.2 million for two consecutive years. As of January this year, the data statistics, 2019 added nearly 1.22 million, an increase of 129% from the previous month, 2020 added more than 1.25 million, an increase of 3% from the previous month.
