Zhenze Silk, A New Socialite In The Silk Industry

When “Zhenze Silk” was awarded the China Geographical Indication Collective Mark, it was the first collective mark of geographical indications in Wujiang District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, and is expected to be the eleventh collective mark in Suzhou.

Zhenze Town is one of the characteristic industrial locations in Wujiang District. Since the early 1990s, Zhenze has gradually developed from home-based processing to factory and large-scale production, and has gradually formed a silk quilt industry block with “more concentrated enterprises and more clustered industries”.

At present, there are more than 200 silk quilt production and operation enterprises in the town, forming a more complete industrial chain from silkworm breeding to silk extraction, cotton piece making, turning and quilt cover, pillowcase and other bedding production, with a mulberry forest base of 5.3 million square meters in the industry.
