In October 2004, Garden Village merged with nine neighboring villages to form New Garden Village, with a village area of 5 km2. in March 2017, Garden Village merged with nine neighboring villages again to form New Garden Village, with an expanded village area of 12 sq. km. now there are 5,246 farming households in Garden Village, with a resident population of more than 65,000 and a foreign population of more than 50,000.
As the sales terminal of the garden mahogany industry chain, the Garden Mahogany Furniture City opened in 2010, the total market area of about 500,000 meters2, attracting more than 2,300 brands into the market, becoming a retail, wholesale, tourism, leisure and other functions in one of the mahogany furniture “one-stop” distribution center, and manufacturers of marketing platform, and in 2020, the market turnover of the Garden Mahogany Furniture City reached $3 billion.
